The Links opened in 2000 with a back to the beginning design - A Scottish Links Course. This style course marks the very start of golf several hundred years ago. Since that time, golf has made many changes. Course design, especially in the United States, has developed it's own highly manicured look while Scotland's classic layouts have remained basicly untouched. The Links Golf Course at Walnut Run is a small peek into Scotland famous links courses. Great Bunkers!!

        The design layout of just 2528 to 3249 yards makes The Links attractive to seniors, women, and juniors, but the huge greens and numerous bunkers offer problems for the ambitious amateur golfer. No matter what skill level of golfer you are, you will come away from this uniquely designed Scottish links course satisfied at having played. "Grip it and rip it" but look out for the Great Bunkers!!
